Alap Momin aka BKGD Audio with the new single "Missin" sees him continue to push dance music into his "Dubbed, Drugged, & Ghosted" & "Guido Philip Glass" sonic universes, this time exploring a reggaeton vibe and groove. "Missin" has elements of Reggaeton, Dancehall, and Baile Funk but fused with the chopped and screwed vocal sound created by Houston legend DJ Screw as well as rhythmic cues from Chicago Juke pioneer DJ Rashad and the bent sample sensibilities of Detroit Hip Hop master J Dilla. These influences are blended together into a sound Momin calls "Womb Music", perfect for the club, the whip, or your headphones.
